Polestar 2 FAQ

  • How do I charge my Polestar 2?

The most common way is to charge the car overnight at home by plugging it into an ordinary power outlet or with a wall charging box. Charging times vary depending on how much energy is left in the battery and what kind of power outlet you are using. To charge the car from 0-100 % it takes between 8-40 hours. Some public charging stations charge 80 % of the battery in only about 40 minutes.

If you choose to use an ordinary power outlet, please always follow the recommendations from Elsäkerhetsverket.

  • How far can I drive with my Polestar 2?

You can drive up to 470 km when fully charged (NEDC and EU WLTP tests)

    See the calculator at Räckviddskalkylatorn

  • Do I need a wall charger box? Where do I buy a wallbox and how do I install it?

Polestar recommends that you as a Polestar 2-driver contacts eWays who are a full service supplier regarding wall charger box and installation.

  • Will I receive any charging cables?

Polestar 2 comes with two cables:

    • EU CEE7-7 (Schuko) Mode 2 – charging cable for charging with an ordinary electrical outlet at home
    • EU Mode 3 – charging cable for public charging in a wallbox
  • How do I charge if I live in an appartment?

It is easier to charge your electric car when you live in a house rather than if you live in an apartment. Even though more and more landlords install charging points in their parking lots, there are still many who have not yet made the investment. There is financial support to apply for, similar to the ”ladda-hemma stödet”, even for landlords to support the conversion.
